Spread the love
Approx. Reading Time: 3 minutes

A Little bit of a bumpy day, but that comes with the spontaneity of our trip and the excitement of Las Vegas.

Itinerary:

  • 9:00 am Checked out of the Tiki Hut
  • 2:00 pm Reached Las Vegas
  • 4:00 pm Checked in at the home we rented for the night
  • 7:00 pm Headed out to Fremont Street
  • 1:00 am (next day) Ate possibly the best gluten-free pizza on Earth

Our Adventure:

Today, we did a lot of driving. Decided to stay a night in Las Vegas, so we didn’t overkill on driving in one day. We ran into some issues on the first home we were planning to use for the night where the ad didn’t match up with reality. Fortunately, we were able to get credited back and find another place closer to Fremont Street.

Fremont Street – Las Vegas

There isn’t a whole lot to report today since most of the day was in the car and we didn’t do any site seeing. However, I will say going to Fremont Street is a must if you like to gamble in Vegas. I find that the slots are looser and the table games have much more options in terms of games and bets. The atmosphere is excellent, and there is plenty to see. The street performers are out each night dazzling crowds. I love that there are people out there who demonstrate their talents with travelers.

The Strip is great for those who are looking solely for nightlife. I personally didn’t enjoy the gambling there but to each their own.

Golden Nugget – Las Vegas

We spent most of the evening at the Golden Nugget playing blackjack. Overall, we did well at the tables. As we were walking back down Fremont Street, we saw tons of different street performers. A perk of Fremont.

It was late, but we decided to check for gluten-free pizza and right at the end of the street was this place Evel Pizza (named and designed after Evel Knievel). Evel Pizza was fantastic. They make a gluten-free, deep dish pizza that is to die for. It’s a basic cheese, but you can add up to 3 toppings if preferred (I got pepperoni for this particular treat). They have a full menu beyond the gluten-free pizza for those who don’t need it. I’ll be honest; the gluten-free might be worth trying regardless.
