Wow! 150 Days eating a carnivorous diet. Over the past few weeks, friends and family have started to notice the significant changes in my health and size.
Not A Typical Month
For much of the first 150 days, life ran pretty normally. The past month, on the other hand, was hectic. Due to unexpected circumstances, we had to move on short notice. Fortunately, this move benefits us in many ways, but certainly had challenges. In all honesty, one of the best aspects of the carnivore way of eating is how easy it is to plan meals on tight schedules. Food prep takes very minimal time. The cooking process is either quick or set it and wait for the timer. I find this much more manageable than Standard American Diet meals, not to mention time-saving.
Non-Scale Victories
As part of our last minute move, my husband and I had to clean and renovate a good portion of a home for us to move. In the past, lacking energy and excessive weight would have made the amount of work nearly impossible. I am grateful that my new and improved, healthier body handled the mandatory work much better than ever before. On top of all that, I feel stronger and more powerful which made renovations and moving homes go much more smoothly.
In addition to more energy and less weight, I can breathe and get around better. I find that I am more focused and can spend much more time focused on work. And, possibly my favorite non-scale victory so far… several family members and close friends stated they didn’t recognize me when I was walking in to meet up with them. Even my mother did a double take at Thanksgiving. Granted, she hadn’t seen me in fitted clothes since most of my clothes are now becoming obnoxiously big. Guess I will need to go on a serious shopping trip soon. No complaints!
Not bad for 150 days of eating delicious, healing meats!

**UPDATED**
My husband continues to eat meat, rice, and beans. This way of eating works best for him. As I mentioned last month, he reacts to MSG and the rice and beans helps deal with this issue. Took us a very long time to figure it out, but well worth it.
