Blender Addiction – Modeling Animation & Sculpts

Spread the love
Approx. Reading Time: 3 minutes

Since I started working in Blender a couple of weeks ago, I find myself drawn to spending more and more time working in the program. In approximately 60-70 hours of work time, I went from knowing nothing to creating several projects.

Blender Offers So Much

As of now, I’ve barely scratched the surface of all there is to know about Blender. Regardless, I learned a ton in the past three weeks of regular Blender use. For the most part, I created 3D models. However, I started to animate and sculpt in the past week.

In a way, Blender feels limitless. With so many functions and processes built-in, I imagine it will be years before I learn everything and click every button – if I even ever do. The modifier section alone holds so many amazing tools that allow me to enhance my results. I love it!

My Latest Blender Renders

This week, I created quite a mix of projects. Most were following Grant Abbitt tutorials, while others are works in progress based on original ideas.

Blender 3D Modeling and Animation Work

Last week, I mentioned a Sea Shack scene I started from one of Grant Abbitt’s series on YouTube. I’ve made much progress on this scene but will add so many more details before I call it done. The tutorial series for the sea shack taught me how to animate the water, flag, fish, and more.

Check out below to see one angle I rendered, which shows most of the items I animated so far. I still have a lot to learn on camera angles.

I also completed a man and bot scene, as well as a cute elephant monster. Yes, more Grant Abbitt tutorials, I enjoy his style, and he uploads new ones regularly. Technically, I created a rotating animation of the cute elephant monster but forgot to select a video format, so I rendered 250 single images. So, I decided to share a few of those instead of re-rendering.

My First Sculpts

This week, I worked on three sculpts. The first was an octopus-like monster from another Grant Abbitt tutorial. Then I worked on two original busts, a beast, and a caricature style older man. Both of the busts need further attention, but I am happy to show my progress with my readers at this point.
