This page describes all aspects of the first five days of the refeed from my water fast. This page includes repeating information on day 12 of my water fast when I decided to break the fast.

Day – 12 – End Water Fasting Log – Begin Re-feed Log

Weight: 220.4 lbs

Time: 9:00 am

Date: October 14th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Normal

Mental:

  • Clearheaded, calm

Physical:

  • Tired

Spiritual:

  • In Tune

Amount of water:

  • Total 140 oz. of water
    • Plain room temperature Spring water – 140 oz.

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination consistent
  • Some loose stools throughout day all formed – still coming on urgently

Activity:

  • Prepared bone broth
  • Went to store

Sleep:

  • Slept through the night 8 hours
  • Took additional nap for 3-4 hours

Reason water fast ended

  • Decided I wanted to focus more on a lengthy and healthy reefed

Food consumed starting at 3:30 pm eating every 1.5-2 hour:

  • 8 oz. Grass-fed Bone Broth, sprinkled with minced fresh cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
  • 1 cup of pureed spinach with extra water
    • Bothered stomach – possibly overate or reacting spinach
  • 16 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, one egg, minced cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
    • Drank slowly over the course of an hour

Day – 13 – Re-feed Log

Weight: 222.4 lbs.

Time: 7:00 am

Date: October 15th, 2017

 

Notes:

  • Weight gain expected with adding nutrient dense caloric intake
  • Weak and sore morning through midday
  • Afternoon and evening more awake

Food consumed (approx. every 2 hours or when more is needed):

  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, one egg, minced cilantro, minced green onion
  • Under 1oz. A few strands of beef from bones
  • two carrots well cooked
  • 2 oz. minced cucumber, pureed avocado, red onion, dill, apple cider vinegar
  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, one egg, minced cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
  • 2 oz. minced cucumber, pureed avocado, red onion, dill, apple cider vinegar
  • 2 oz. minced cucumber, pureed avocado, red onion, dill, apple cider vinegar

Day – 14 – Re-feed Log

Weight: 222.4 lbs.

Notes:

  • Weight stagnated despite eating more
  • Noticing some allergies off an on – may be seasonal with weather change

Food consumed (approx. every 2 hours or when more is needed):

  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, one egg, minced cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, one egg, minced cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
  • two small organic carrots mashed with a skim coat of Grass-fed butter and dill
  • two small organic carrots mashed with a skim coat of Grass-fed butter and dill
  • three slices of a sweet potato baked
  • 2 oz. minced cucumber, pureed avocado, red onion, dill, apple cider vinegar

Day – 15 – Re-feed Log

Weight: 223.2 lbs.

Time: 8:30 am

Notes:

  • Weight slight increase eating more nutrient dense foods
  • Allergies consistent with yesterday

Food consumed (moving toward less frequent, slightly larger portions):

  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, two eggs, minced cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, two egg, broccoli sprouts
  • 2 oz. minced cucumber, pureed avocado, red onion, dill, apple cider vinegar
  • 4 oz. roasted potatoes with oregano, basil, sliced black olives – cooked thoroughly to be soft
  • 4 oz. minced cucumber, pureed avocado, red onion, dill, apple cider vinegar

Day – 16 – Re-feed Log

Weight: 224.0 lbs.

Time: 6:30 am

Date: October 18th, 2017

 

Notes:

  • Weight slight increase eating more nutrient dense foods
  • Allergies increasing may pull out onions – could be seasonal
  • Since weight is moving normally will discontinue daily weigh-ins
  • Have not had a bowel movement yet since I started eating
  • Mindful that I am struggling with emotional or triggered eating – not giving in, but having many urges and cravings

Food consumed (moving toward less frequent, slightly larger portions):

  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, two eggs, minced cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
  • 4 oz. roasted potatoes with oregano, basil, sliced black olives – cooked thoroughly to be soft
  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, two eggs, minced cilantro, two boiled carrots
  • 2 oz. minced cucumber, pureed avocado, dill, apple cider vinegar
  • 1 oz. – strands of beef from bones

Notes:

  • Noticing some allergies off an on – may be seasonal with weather change or onions – pulling back most of the food I’ve tried
  • Passed several small stools throughout the day

  • 12 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, two eggs, minced cilantro
  • 1 serving Pureed Carrots
