Water Fasting Log Disclaimer: This daily log is thorough. The record includes information that some may find bothersome to read. This page describes all aspects of my 12-day water fast, including the first evening of my re-feed.

Day -1 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 243.0 lbs. (249.6 before vacation, 245.6 on 10/2 return)

Time: 7:00 am

Date: October 3rd, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Off and on emotionally sensitized.
  • Emotions not out of control, but strong when they come on.

Mental:

  • Feeling very calm and clear-headed

Physical:

  • Energized

Spiritual:

  • I felt in tune with myself, as well as, focused on work. Time did seem to escape me.

Amount of water:

  • Total 183 oz. of water
    • 24 oz. Lukewarm spring water with ½ lemon: 2 times – 48 oz.
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 135 oz.
  • 1 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar

Bathroom notes:

  • Several large stools over the course of the morning.
  • Urination normal compared to volume of water

Activity:

  • Worked on website updates from trip – 5 hours
  • Worked in Photoshop on a few photos – 1 hour
  • Dealt with some server issues – 1 hour
  • Cooked Roasted Potatoes for husband – limiting, but ensuring I am around food
  • Changed server provider – most stressful event of the day – but only five out 10 level stress – 1 hour

Sleep:

  • Returned from vacation morning before, slept most of 10/2/17 – red-eye flight trouble sleeping on planes
  • Slept at least 8 hours through the night

Cycle:

Day 1 of cycle – Normal heavy day, normal migraines, no weakness, cramps lighter than normal


Day – 2 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 238.0 lbs.

Time: 7:00 am

Date: October 4th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Emotions are gaining strength, but still off and on
  • Minor frustration burst me into tears but able to calmly speak and explain myself after, which felt good

Mental:

  • Overall calm and clear-headed outside of when I have an emotional swing

Physical:

  • Not hungry
  • Thirsty and dry mouth
  • Had energy in the morning
  • Drained rapidly at 4:00 pm – very tired
  • Intense headache/migraine throughout the day

Spiritual:

  • Calm and focused during morning
  • Once I got tired, was less clarity overall

Amount of water:

  • Total 126 oz. of water
    • 24 oz. Lukewarm spring water with ½ lemon: 2 times – 48 oz.
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 78 oz.
  • 1 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar

Bathroom notes:

  • Stools more like diarrhea comes on quick
  • Urination normal compared to volume of water

Activity:

  • Did one load of laundry – 3 hours out of the house including wait time
    • Got gas and went to bank during this period
  • Worked in Photoshop – 2 hours
  • Did online research – 2.5 hours

Sleep:

  • Slept well almost through the night – 1x to urinate and drink water
  • Vivid dreams, but were short, do not remember what happened
  • Thirsty when I woke up

Cycle:

Day 2 of cycle – normal second day, still heavy, but less, no weakness, no cramps


Day – 3 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 243.0 lbs.

Time: 7:00 am

Date: October 5th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Much more emotional today
    • Crying watching videos (videos were meant to be emotional)
    • Bouts of extreme happiness/euphoria
  • Feeling need to express feelings

Mental:

  • Staying calm
  • Mind wandering a bit once I am bored with what I am doing
  • Still able to stay focused when needed
  • No motivation – think of small tasks, then don’t do it

Physical:

  • Hunger comes on once every few hours and comes and goes quickly – not disruptive
  • Feel lighter overall
  • Relaxed muscles
  • Not as energized, but not overly tired

Spiritual:

  • Feeling very loving and gratuitous today

Amount of water:

  • Total 144 oz. of water
    • 24 oz. Lukewarm spring water with ½ lemon: 2 times – 48 oz.
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 66 oz.
    • Hydration Water (use preferred drinking water): 30 oz.
  • 1 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar

Bathroom notes:

  • Some gassy and gurgle-y feelings
  • Urination light/normal
  • Stools come on urgently and are liquid

Activity:

  • Drove to Chiropractor
  • Received Chiropractic – felt more than normal all over tingles, no lightheadedness
  • Watched personal development and business videos – 4-5 hours
  • Cooked Roasted Potatoes for husband

Sleep:

  • Napped from 6:00 pm ~ 9:00 pm
  • Slept 10:00 pm – 6:45 am – Did not wake up

Cycle:

Day 3 of cycle – bleeding is heavier than past months but less than past two days. Considering it as improvement, no weakness, no cramps


Day – 4 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 235.0 lbs.

Time: 7:00 am

Date: October 6th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Not feeling as emotional this morning

Mental:

  • Put ideas into action as soon as I thought to do something I went and did it – more motivated
  • Time seems to be going slow today

Physical:

  • Decent energy in morning
  • Simple tasks seem to tire me out more quickly

Spiritual:

  • Clear mind reflecting on my day and life

Amount of water:

  • Total 168 oz. of water
    • 24 oz. Lukewarm spring water with ½ lemon: 3 times – 72 oz.
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 66 oz.
    • Hydration Water (use preferred drinking water): 30 oz.

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination – relative to water consumed, long, emptying stream
  • Light gas throughout the day
  • Stools come on urgently and are liquid

Activity:

  • Cleared space to work on painting moving several items of up to 15 lbs. – 15 minutes
  • Painted wood art, cleaned up, and moved things back – 45 minutes
  • Worked in Photoshop – 1 hour
  • Tidied up around house

Sleep:

  • Slept well through the night 8 hours total

Cycle:

Day 4 of cycle – Light, normal, no weakness, no cramps


Day – 5 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 232.8 lbs.

Time: 9:00 am

Date: October 7th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Much less emotional today, very calm and relaxed

Mental:

  • Time moving faster today
  • Alert, but not very focused

Physical:

  • Minor hunger feelings two times for approximately 2-3 minutes alleviated by consuming water

Spiritual:

  • Unsure, but confident and positive about family’s future
  • Being observant of the world around me

Amount of water:

  • Total 174 oz. of water
    • 24 oz. Lukewarm spring water with ½ lemon: 2 times – 48 oz.
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 76 oz.
    • Italian Sparkling Mineral Water with a ½ lemon squeeze: 50 oz.
  • 1 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination – relative to water consumed, long, emptying stream
  • Light gas throughout the day – more frequent, noticeable than yesterday
  • Stools come on urgently and are liquid

Activity:

  • Went on drive with husband
  • Went grocery shopping with husband

Sleep:

  • 9 ½ hours sleep through the night
  • Woke up refreshed, late morning yawning, but not overall tired

Cycle:

Day 5 of cycle – trickled to stop


Day – 6 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 231.4 lbs.

Time: 6:30 am

Date: October 8th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Becoming less overwhelmingly emotional
  • Able to speak calmly about how I feel about things
  • Starting to appreciate my body more and more

Mental:

  • Decided I needed to eliminate even more stress from my life, so I deleted all but two news pages on social media and all sites that discuss politics – sick of the bickering back and forth
  • Overall still feeling calm and mostly focused with spots of fuzziness

Physical:

  • When I do a task, I tire quickly
  • Trying to rest as much as possible
  • Seeing changes in my appearance

Spiritual:

  • Mind is calm; I feel like I need spiritual guidance, but have not yet reached that point

Amount of water:

  • Total 193 oz. of water
    • 24 oz. Lukewarm spring water with ½ lemon: 2 times – 48 oz.
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 100 oz.
    • Italian Sparkling Mineral Water with a ½ lemon squeeze: 45 oz.

Bathroom notes:

  • Normal urination
  • Fewer stools today – loose when I did go – comes on urgently

Activity:

  • Visited parents
  • Folded laundry
  • Computer work

Sleep:

  • Woke up after 7 hours to urinate, could not go back to sleep

Day – 7 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 229.8 lbs.

Time: 5:30 am

Date: October 9th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Much less emotional, no crying, very loving
  • Feeling more confident in the way my body looks, have always struggled losing weight

Mental:

  • Clear, calm, some moments of fuzziness

Physical:

  • Resting more since I am not sleeping as well
  • Overdid it on alkaline (high Ph) water and had acid reflux for a few hours – quickly determined cause and water switch to spring from high Ph helped quickly – will minimize high Ph, but continue to use for electrolytes
  • During severe acid reflux (1st time ever having this) mouth got insanely dry rapidly for about an hour
  • Skin noticeably tighter
  • Run down from lack of sleep past two nights

Spiritual:

  • Mindful state – clear head is allowing almost meditative state throughout the day

Amount of water:

  • Total 190 oz. of water
    • 24 oz. Lukewarm spring water with ½ lemon: 2 times – 48 oz.
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 100 oz.
    • Plain room temperature Spring Water – 42 oz.
  • 1 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination staying consistent with amount of water consumed
  • Stools now have some formed and others loose – very frequent today – continue to come on urgently

Activity:

  • Visited parents
  • Went to chiropractor
  • Cooked Roasted Potatoes for husband

Sleep:

  • Woke up after 6 hours to urinate, could not go back to sleep

Day – 8 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 226.8 lbs.

Time: 6:15 am

Date: October 10th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Felt empowered today
  • Clearly able to speak about emotional topics without getting worked up or upset
  • I enjoy looking at the progress in the mirror and feel like I appreciate my body and its healing powers for the first time

Mental:

  • Calm and insightful
  • Able to focus better on what the other person is saying, so I can form better responses – debate and life coaching sense

Physical:

  • Good energy throughout the day
  • Minor bout of acid reflux for about an hour – mild compared to yesterday

Spiritual:

  • Feeling insightful, more in touch with my inner spirit

Amount of water:

  • Total 146 oz. of water
    • 24 oz. Lukewarm spring water with ½ lemon: 1 time – 24 oz.
    • Plain room temperature Spring Water – 122 oz.

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination consistent
  • Some loose stools less than previous few days

Activity:

  • Did some light errands with my father
  • Cooked Roasted Potatoes for husband

Sleep:

  • Slept full 8 hours, was able to fall asleep after getting up

Day – 9 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 224.8 lbs.

Time: 7:10 am

Date: October 11th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Feeling powerful and in control of my emotions
  • Helped an abused woman escape her home today and got her to a shelter

Mental:

  • Clear headed, focused

Physical:

  • Solid energy throughout the day
  • Calm body

Spiritual:

  • I helped someone help herself today; she told me I saved her life. When I heard of the bad situation yesterday, I offered to give her a ride to fill out some paperwork. We talked a lot, and I couldn’t stand to see her go back home to the abuse. This woman has had her demons, but today she proved that she wants to make a change. We took all of her belongings when she donated 90% to Salvation Army so she can start over fresh when she gets out.

Amount of water:

  • Total 119 oz. of water
    • Plain room temperature Spring Water – 119 oz.
  • 1 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination consistent with water consumed
  • Morning – large passage of stool mostly solid, but unformed then no more throughout day

Activity:

  • All day working with woman in abuse situation – some light boxes moved and drove mostly
  • Cooked Roasted Potatoes for husband
  • Tidied up around the house

Sleep:

  • Slept well until 3:30 am
  • Tossed and turned for I’d say at least an hour
  • Fell back asleep and slept well until alarm then again for another 30 minutes
  • Total approximately 8 hours

Day – 10 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 223.2 lbs.

Time: 6:30 am

Date: October 12th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Very happy today

Mental:

  • Clear-headed and focused

Physical:

  • Feel full of energy
  • Skin is looking bright, glowing, and tighter
  • Face is noticeably thinner

Spiritual:

  • Had dream overnight that seemed to release suppressed feelings – refreshing

Amount of water:

  • Total 152 oz. of water
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 25 oz.
    • Plain room temperature Spring Water – 127 oz.

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination consistent
  • Some loose stools throughout day all formed – still coming on urgently

Activity:

  • Local errands, nothing strenuous
  • Cooked roasted potatoes for husband

Sleep:

  • Slept well until 3:30ish am then was awake for an hour or so, but was able to go back to sleep. Approximately 8 hours sleep

Day – 11 – Water Fasting Log

Weight: 221.8 lbs.

Time: 6:15 am

Date: October 13th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Happy

Mental:

  • Calm
  • Clear-headed

Physical:

  • High energy

Spiritual:

  • Reflective of my week
  • Visited psychic/medium very stimulating spiritually

Amount of water:

  • Total 178 oz. of water
    • Ionized High Ph drinking water (use preferred drinking water): 35 oz.
    • Plain room temperature Spring Water – 143 oz.

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination consistent
  • Some loose stools throughout day all formed – still coming on urgently

Activity:

  • Local errands, nothing strenuous
  • Cooked roasted potatoes for husband

Sleep:

  • Sleep well through the night, woke up shortly before alarm – 8 hours

Day – 12 – Water Fast Log – Begin Refeed

Weight: 220.4 lbs

Time: 9:00 am

Date: October 14th, 2017

 

Emotional:

  • Normal

Mental:

  • Clearheaded, calm

Physical:

  • Tired

Spiritual:

  • In Tune

Amount of water:

  • Total 140 oz. of water
    • Plain room temperature Spring water – 140 oz.

Bathroom notes:

  • Urination consistent
  • Some loose stools throughout day all formed – still coming on urgently

Activity:

  • Prepared bone broth
  • Went to store

Sleep:

  • Slept through the night 8 hours
  • Took additional nap for 3-4 hours

Reason water fast ended

  • Decided I wanted to focus more on a lengthy and healthy reefed

Food consumed starting at 3:30 pm eating every 1.5-2 hour:

  • 8 oz. Grass-fed Bone Broth, sprinkled with minced fresh cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
  • 1 cup of pureed spinach with extra water
    • Bothered stomach – possibly ate too much or reacting spinach
  • 16 oz. Homemade Grass Fed Bone Broth, one egg, minced cilantro, 1 Tbsp. Collagen Protein
    • Drank slowly over the course of an hour
